Scope
Knockdown and rebuild into two separate dwellings
BRIEF
Our team was engaged by a family who had lived in their original home since the 1960s. Their goal was to knock down the ageing house, subdivide the land, and build two modern, independent homes for separate family units. Working within tight boundary restrictions, our design ensured both dwellings had plenty of privacy while maximising land use. Through comprehensive preconstruction planning and diligent site management, we successfully delivered both residences in under 12 months.

- The clean lines of the facade, incorporating a dark brick and white render palette, create a bold street presence.
- A light filled, open plan kitchen and living area. Designed with an airy atmosphere, high ceilings, and clever window placement that flood the space with natural light. The kitchen showcases a striking contrast between black cabinetry and a white Caesarstone island bench, with plenty of space for entertaining or for family meals.
- Custom joinery throughout, with standout features such as a beautifully designed library wall, providing both function and style in the main living area.
- High performing home, achieving just over 4 Air Changes Per Hour (ACH) @ 50 pascals in a blower door test.
- Unique tile selections in the bathroom, including a black and white patterned tile floor that adds a layer of sophistication and character to the space.
- Timber flooring across the living spaces, adds warmth and texture to the overall minimalist design.
- A double carport with seamless access to the residence and well considered landscaping that balances privacy with aesthetic appeal.
