How it works
Tried and tested methods that give you full transparency and support along the whole journey.
Considerations
Here are some questions to have in mind before we start:
Do you prefer a contemporary style facade or a more traditional facade? How many bedrooms are required? How many bathrooms are required? How many living spaces are required? Do you wish to include a study room or media room? Do you wish to include a butlers’ pantry in addition to the kitchen? Critical priorities – what is non-negotiable? Desirable priorities – what would you really like to include? How will you define this project as a success?
Preliminaries
Before each of our projects start, please have in mind the following details:
SECURING THE SITE
Please purchase the site before the commencement of the build. Unfortunately, we will not be able to commence a design contract until the site is owned by the client.
SITE SURVEY
A site survey will help us work with the slope of the block, find any easements, and design within our building envelop.
Initial Consultation
You will meet with Mark the founding director to discuss the following:
Contract execution, desired floor plan and layout, desired facades, desired level of finishes, desired timings, desired budget, and site conditions (including neighbours and adjoining properties, easements local Council controls, street access, sewer and storm water issues).
This is also a great chance for us to show and explain our streamlined building process which we have spent years perfecting.
It is also a great time for you to raise any concerns or questions to help you feel as comfortable with us as possible.
Design Concept
Our design will incorporate the natural elements which surround your property, as well as our client’s aesthetic taste and their family’s needs.
Once you’ve approved the first design concept, we will send it to our external consultants for feedback. External consultants include Engineers, Building Certifiers, Landscape Architects, and Town Planners (Access Canberra).
Finalising Plans & Submitting Approvals
Once our team have worked closely with the client on making any necessary design changes to suit their needs, the plans will then be submitted for DA approval. This process can take anywhere from 3-6 months, from submission to approval.
Construction
At this stage we do what we do best, creating a statement for your neighbours which will be the talk of the street due to our attention to detail and high-end finishes.
Throughout the construction process we facilitate regular site visits with our clients so they are able to watch their dream home come to life.
Handover / Completion & Aftercare
Following the completion of the construction, Freedom will undertake an extensive and thorough defecting process to make sure your home is finished to the highest quality and ready for you to move in.
Following the handover, Mark and his aftercare team will be on call for any issues that may arise or any further help needed.
